Keep Jackson Beautiful Month is a month to celebrate our Earth and to take care of it. We encourage individuals or groups to join one of our events, we encourage you to start your own cleanup or environmental activity in your community!

We invite all Jacksonians to join Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community improvement program, continues to grow in strength, scope and human dimension. More than 5 million volunteers mobilize each year in more than 20,000 communities (including communities right here in Mississippi) to make lasting, visible change in their communities. Neighborhoods across the city will participate during March, April, May and June with cleanup, planting, and painting events.

We're currently looking for community proposals for the upcoming 2025 Kickoff.

Keep Jackson Beautiful will partner with one of our communities to hold the Keep Jackson Beautiful Month Kickoff. The Community will be selected from the proposals submitted. Keep Jackson Beautiful will contribute funding depending on what project is chosen. We ask that the community commits to provide some resources as well.  

In the proposal, we ask that you include:

The Kickoff date will be April 3rd 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

• Goals & Objectives

• How you will engage community member/volunteers

• Itemized budget ($5,000 - $10,000)

• Partnerships

• Community Impact of the budget

• Current photos of site

• Maintenance & Sustainability Plans    

• Event leader

Site selection will be announced February 3rd.
