Keep Jackson Beautiful partners with the City of Jackson's Solid Waste Division to offer a FREE annual summer camp designed to immerse youth in nature and facilitate the development of environmental stewardship through an innovative earth-based program.


Campers will learn the importance of energy and resource conservation; preserving and sustaining the natural environment; the benefits of recycling; the effects of climate change; the value of ecological diversity; related career paths and good environmental stewardship practices through an engaging, hands-on approach. The campers learn while having a great time!


Eligible children must be entering the 3rd grade or 4th grade. A maximum of 30 students are allowed annually. Presenters and instructors are environmental experts in their areas of expertise be it gardening, waste managment, water conservation, etc...

Registration typically begins May to the second week in June via online and hardcopies located at 200 South President Street, Suite 504.
